GLENDOLA
FIRE COMPANY No. 1

Logistics

Wall Township Fire District #2 is very diverse for a rural fire department. Our response area is approximately 17 square miles. We operate out of two fire stations which house (3) Engines, (1) Tower Ladder, 2 Brush Fire Units, and a Water Tender.

The Glendola Fire Company No. 1 has been in existence since 1931. Today we operate with approximately 30-40 volunteer firefighters. Our command staff consists of a Fire Chief, (1) Assistant Fire Chief, (1) Fire Captain, and (2) Fire Lieutenants. Additional staff include a Chief Engineer, Assistant Engineers, Training Officer, Safety Officer, and additional staff responsible for various maintenance projects.

Our first due Engine Company to a majority of our fire calls is ENGINE 52-2-75. This unit is quite unique, in that, it is stocked with a wide variety of fire and emergency equipment (similar to a Squad Company). This allows its crew to handle many of the fire emergency calls, which is especially good when volunteer staffing is sometimes minimal.
